Tour Description:

During this tour you will visit the city of Polotsk – the spiritual capital of the Republic of Belarus. The city has acquired such a reputation for the following reasons: this is where the Belarusian statehood was founded in the 11th century; this is where the pearl of the Belarusian spiritual history and architecture of the 12th century - St. Ephrosinya Russian Orthodox convent is situated. Our tour will start from the magnificent European city of Minsk, because it is not possible to get a complete picture of the country without visiting its capital. On the way from Minsk to Polotsk you will admire beautiful landscapes of Belarus and arrive in an incredible Polotsk, one day in this ancient city means to touch the antiquity.

Program

Friday:

Arrival in «Minsk 2» National Airport -   transfer to Minsk (40 km)  -  check in at the “Monastyrskaya” 3***hotel - included dinner - overnight in  the hotel (B&B);

Saturday:

Included “Buffet” breakfast – city tour of Minsk - included lunch at the “Svoi” restaurant - drive to Polotsk (260 km.) – check in at the “Slavyanskaya” 3*** hotel – included dinner in the hotel- overnight in the hotel (B&B);

Sunday:

  • City tour of  Polotsk with a stop by St.Sophia Cathedral (unique Belarusian brickwork giving a flickering” effect) 
  • Visit to a museum of the Cathedral (walk down the basement to take a tour in the past to see the 11th century 
    foundations and a number of unique exhibits) 
    Concert of organ music in the Cathedral
  • Included lunch
  • Visit to Savior. Ephrosiniya Convent (take an opportunity to ask blessing for healing and solving earthly problems)
