Tour description: It is impossible to imagine a tour to Belarus without visiting its capital, Minsk. Minsk is a large and modern European city with wide avenues, beautiful architecture, a cozy “Trinity Suburb” with small picturesque houses and narrow cozy streets, impressive temples of the Old Town, and amazing sports arenas. The city has become too big that it is impossible to show everything within a standard city tour and that is why we do it in the morning and then continue after included lunch.  Thus during the two days of your stay in Minsk you are sure to see all important sights of the capital.

Tour duration: 3 days/3 nights, half board

Program:

Day 1, Friday: Arrival at Minsk  -  check in at the “Belarus” 3***hotel, overnight at the hotel (B&B);

Day 2, Saturday: Included breakfast – city tour of Minsk “Minsk – New European capital:” Old Town presenting complex of both Russian Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches and monasteries, Merchants’ house, Town Hall and other survived buildings of the past. Visit to the 17th century Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Spirit where one can admire a wonder-working Icon of Our Lady of Minsk. Trinity suburb including a fragment of Minsk of the 19th century with buildings in a classical style, the then most famous trend in the architecture, Soviet Minsk presenting Independence Square with its unique buildings of pre-war & post – war years, including the Government house – the creation of the brilliant Soviet architect Josef Langbard; drive through the main, Independence Avenue presenting a grandiose post-war reconstruction in the “Stalin Empire” style to have a glimpse at its squares, parks and monuments - included lunch at the “Svoi” restaurant – Continuation of the city tour of Minsk: Contemporary Minsk with new landmarks in the architecture including diamond-shaped building of the National Library with the observation platform at the height of 72 meters), new prestigious residential neighborhood “Mayak of Minsk”, Ortodox Cathedral of all the Saints and all those who died innocently for our Mortherland - overnight in the hotel (B&B);

Day 3, Sunday: Included breakfast – visit to the State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War (probably the richest Second World War museum in the ex- USSR  - included lunch in the restaurant  downtown -  Optional  excursion to the National Art museum of Belarus rated as the third best art museum in the CIS after the Hermitage and the “Russian museum in St. Petersburg   or  free time with a visit   to the three level "Stolitsa" trade and entertainment  mall where you can find everything produced in Belarus,  have a cup of coffee -  transfer to the hotel -  overnight in the hotel (B&B); overnight in the hotel (B&B);

Day 4,  Monday: Included  breakfast
