Tour description: This tour is intended for those who are interested in the history of World War II. You will have an opportunity to visit the most famous sights and museums dedicated to the events of the war, including the State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War,  “khatyn” war memorial”. “Stalin Line” historical and cultural complex,. During this excursion you will have a unique opportunity to look at the heavy weapons of both warring parties.

Tour duration:  3 nights/half board

Program:

Day 1, Friday: Arrival at Minsk 2 -  check in at the “Belarus” 3***hotel -  overnight at the hotel (B&B);

Day 2,  Saturday: Includedbr breakfast – city tour of Minsk: “Minsk – New European capital”Old Town presenting complex of both Russian Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches and monasteries, Merchants’ house, Town Hall and other survived buildings of the past. Visit to the 17th century Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Spirit where one can admire a wonder-working Icon of Our Lady of Minsk, Trinity suburb including a fragment of Minsk of the 19th century with buildings in a classical style, the then most famous trend in the architecture, Soviet Minsk presenting Independence Square with its unique buildings of pre-war & post – war years, including the Government house – the creation of the brilliant Soviet architect Josef Langbard; drive through the main, Independence Avenue presenting a grandiose post-war reconstruction in the “Stalin Empire” style to have a glimpse at its squares, parks and monuments, Contemporary Minsk with new landmarks in the architecture including diamond-shaped building of the National Library with the observation platform at the height of 72 meters), new prestigious residential neighborhood “Mayak of Minsk”, Ortodox Cathedral of all the Saints and all those who died innocently for our Mortherland city tour of Minsk - included lunch at the “Svoi” restaurant - visit to the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. The  exhibition is dedicated to all major defensive and liberation battles of the Soviet Army, partisan and resistance movement on the territory of Belarus); overnight in the hotel (B&B);

Day 3, Sunday: Included breakfast – Visit to "Khatyn War Memorial"The memorial was erected on the site of the Belarusian village of Khatyn burnt down by the Nazis in March 1943. A six meter bronze sculpture of the «Unconqued Man», common grave of the villagers of Khatyn, «Wall of Sorrow», «Wall of Life» and other highly expressive sculptural compositions dully commemorate every fourth citizen of Belarus who died during World War II.- included lunch at the "Draniki" restaurant -  visit to "Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex - open air museum of the 1930-s military fortifications (optioonal) - overnight in the hotel (B&B).

Day 4, Monday: Included breakfast 

Price of the tour: 250 Euros

Supplement for a sigle accomodation: 30 Euros 

The price includes: accommodation at 3***, 4**** hotels  in a twin or double  room (3 nights), half board, transport for a tourist program including transfers, services of a national escort, guides on the route and in museums, medical insurance.
